Caroline sinclair casting


Caroline Sinclair, a former philosophy major from London, England, is a New York City-based casting director for films, television, theatre, commercials and music videos. Her recent independent film credits include "Bad Hurt", directed by Mark Kemble (starring Ashley Williams, Theo Rossi, Karen Allen and Michael Harney - World Premiere at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival, hailed by the Wall Street Journal as “One of the festival’s certified sleepers” and “the one true find of the festival so far” by Filmmaker Magazine,  "Friends and Romans" (with Annabella Sciorra, Michael Rispoli and Tony Sirico), the internationally award-winning Christian Frei’s “Sleepless In New York”, "Detours" (with Paul Sorvino, Richard Kind, Michael Cerveris), “The Suspect” starring Mekhi  Phifer, “Somebody’s Hero,” “Restless,” “The House Is Burning”, “Surviving Family”, “One Fall”, “The Living Wake,” and “Fast Food Fast Women.” 

“Restless”, directed by Amos Kollek, won the Prize of the Guild of German Art House Cinemas in Berlin and played in competition at the Toronto Film Festival 2008.  “The Living Wake” starring Jesse Eisenberg, and directed by Sol Tryon, won awards at the CineVegas, Woodstock & Austin Film Festivals.   “The House Is Burning” starring the Oscar-winner Melissa Leo, John Diehl, and Robin Lord Taylor, directed by Holger Ernst and produced by Wim Wenders, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.  “Fast Food Fast Women,” directed by Amos Kollek was nominated for the Golden Palm and won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the Cannes Film Festival.

Caroline’s many other television and film credits include Unfiltered (TV Series),  “Bomb the System” (nomination: Independent Spirit Award),  Avi Nesher’s “Tax Man”, and  Sundance hit “Party Girl” (starring Parker Posey).  

Ms. Sinclair’s theatrical credits range from the Atlantic Theater’s production of Liz Tuccillo’s “Joe Fearless” to many characters in Gregory Crewdson’s critically-acclaimed photographs.  

Caroline has also cast numerous commercials and industrials for clients  such as Coca Cola, Verizon, Volvo, Tylenol, Maybelline, ESPN, AT&T, Cingular, Nickelodeon, American Express, British Airways, Mercedes, Hasbro, Bank of America and Save The Children Fund and just completed casting her first video game for Sony.
